Opening night is Tuesday, November 24 at Chapman Sports Park in Garden Grove. $130 early bird through November 10, then $150. Goalies play free.
Whether you have played ball hockey for years or you are picking up a stick for the first time, Tuesday nights at Chapman are built for you. The Draft League is CBHC's most popular league for a reason: fast games, tight scores, and a draft that rebalances every roster each season, so nobody is stuck on a stacked team or a thin one.
No skates. No team required. No experience required. Register as an individual, get drafted, and show up Tuesday.
How it works
Individual registration through HockeyShift. Waiver, payment and your position in one step.
Wednesday, November 18 the draft builds balanced teams from the full pool. Rosters, captains and the Week 1 schedule post Sunday, November 22.
Opening night is November 24. Find your bench and play.
League highlights
- 10-game regular season minimum, plus playoffs

The Bison Trains won the Summer/Fall 2026 championship 3-0 over the Banana Bullies, with Jack Rogers finishing the playoffs on back-to-back shutouts and 57 saves on 58 shots. John Ahedo was league MVP, Oliver Shepard MVD, Jake Patora MVG and Ivan Daehn Rising Star.
FAQ
Do I need a team?No. You register as an individual and the draft places you. That is the whole format.
I have never played. Is this for me?Yes. All levels play in one league and the draft spreads experience across every roster. Tell us your experience level when you register so the draft can account for it.
What gear do I need?A stick, gloves, shin guards and running shoes. No skates.
Can I play with a friend?You can request one player when you register. We honor requests where the draft allows, but none are guaranteed.
When are games?Tuesday nights at Chapman Sports Park, in the 7:30, 8:30 or 9:30 PM slot. Your slot rotates week to week.
What if I have to miss a week?Tell your captain. Rosters are built with enough depth to cover an absence.
I already play Sunday. Do I register again?Yes, at a reduced rate. Email us for the multi-division code before you check out.
Can goalies really play free?Yes. Goalie spots are limited and fill first, so register early.
